Oil on canvas. 52 X 63 cm. Inv. No 3153 The picture was exhibited in the Salon of 1777. It is a companion piece to another picture by Aubry, Visiting the Foster Mother, or A Lesson in Brotherly Friendship (in 1925 the latter was in the G. Wilden-stein Collection, Paris). Engraved by Robert de Lau-ney in 1779.
